VOYAGERS SWEPT BY OSPREY

The Voyagers wrapped up their four-game series with the Missoula Osprey by falling 3-2 Monday night, giving the Osprey a sweep of the series and leaving Great Falls winless on their homestand. Pitching dominated on both sides, with Missoula scoring the game's first run in the fifth when Maik Ehmcke tripled with two outs and scored on a wild pitch. Missoula added two more in the sixth and that was all they needed as two Great Falls solo homers was all the offense they could must against the combination of Tyler Bolton and Kevin Simmons.

FISHER, HAUPT HOMER

For the second time this season the Voyagers had two homers in a game as both Zach Fisher and Dillon Haupt hit solo shots for their first long balls of the year. Fisher's came in the sixth while Haupt's was in the ninth. Great Falls is now one of four teams tied for the Pioneer League lead with 10 long balls in 2014.

VOYAGERS ADD OF JONES

For the second day in a row the White Sox announced a roster move affecting the Great Falls roster. Outfielder Hunter Jones joined the Voyagers today, after spending the early part of 2014 with the Kannapolis Intimidators (Low-A). Jones played in 41 games for Kannapolis this year, posting a .205 average with five home runs, 15 RBIs and 11 stolen bases. An 11th round pick by the Indians in 2010 out of Lakewood HS (Calif.), Jones signed with the White Sox this past offseason after spending three years in the Cleveland organization.

NEXT UP: HELENA

Over the next four days the Voyagers and Helena Brewers will be getting together with the first two coming at Kindrick Field. Great Falls is 2-0 so far against Helena in 2014, taking both games of a two-game series at Kindrick Field last week. After the two in Helena, these two will face off at Centene Stadium on Thursday and Friday.
