7-RUN 8TH LIFTS VOYAGERS

Down 4-0 entering the eighth and having a rough night offensively, Great Falls woke up with some help from Helena. Jake Jarvis drove in the first run with a groundout, before a wild pitch got the Voyagers within two. Antonio Rodriguez followed up with an RBI double, putting the tying run in scoring position. The Brewer defense then let them down as they made errors on consecutive plays, allowing Rodriguez to score the tying run, and Zach Fish to score the go-ahead tally. Nick Parent then capped off the seven-run inning with a two-run homer, his third of 2015. Ryan Hinchley then pitched a scoreless ninth, earning his first win in the minor leagues.

A RARE COMEBACK

The Voyagers come-from-behind win last night was a rarity for Great Falls, as they only have six comeback wins all season. It was the second time the Voyagers have come back to win in the seventh inning or later, with both coming against Helena. Great Falls now has three last at-bat wins this season, with all three of those wins coming at the expense of the Brewers, too.

BULLPEN STEPS UP

With lefty Tanner Banks limited to two innings due to his upcoming start in the All-Star Game, the onus was put on the bullpen to pick up the final seven innings of last night's game. The relievers came through, allowing just three hits to Helena. Braulio Ortiz came in first, and the righty tossed a couple of scoreless frames in the third and fourth, striking out three. Mike Gomez then came in for three innings, tying a career-high. The southpaw struck out the side in the fifth, and four for the night. Lefty Ryan Hinchley then worked scoreless eighth and ninth frames, setting a new career-high with three strikeouts, and earning his first win as a minor leaguer.

DOMINATING THE BREWERS

The Voyagers have dominated the Brewers so far in 2015, taking eight of the season's first nine meetings, including seven in a row after last night's win. The Voyagers have been perfect at home so far against Helena, taking all five meetings at Centene Stadium. Great Falls is now 19-6 against Helena over the last two seasons, their most wins against any opponent in that span.
