D.C. United News Release

Washington, D.C. (October 9, 2012) - D.C. United announced today that fan voting for Goal of the Year is open. With only three other teams in Major League Soccer scoring more than D.C. United's impressive 49 goals, fans will have a chance to pick from five finalists.

Fans should visit www.dcunited.com to take part in the voting.

The five finalists include Maicon Santos' blast from distance in United's 4-1 win over FC Dallas, Chris Pontius' solo effort in United's 4-1 win over the New York Red Bulls, Hamdi Salihi's impressive skill to chip the keeper from close range in a 5-3 loss against MLS' best San Jose, Dwayne De Rosario's 100th career goal, scored against his former club, and Boskovic's diving header against Chivas USA just a few short weeks ago.

Voting ends just before the Black-and-Red's regular season home finale on October 20.
