The Central Division leading Drummondville Voltigeurs opened their first Maritime road trip of the season in convincing fashion Thursday night at Avenir Centre, routing the Wildcats 11-1 before 3,100 fans.
Moncton's lone goal was a shorthanded effort from Etienne Morin, his 2nd of the season.
The Volts fired 41 shots at both Jacob Steinman and Keegan Warren while the Cats kept Riley Mercer busy with 43 drives.
The Wildcats record moves to 5-3 with a pair of weekend games coming up at Charlottetown Saturday night against the Islanders at 7 pm and 'Sunday Funday' with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan coming to the Avenir Centre at 4pm.
