The Volcanoes conclude their 2012 Regular Season at Home this week with five games versus the Tri City Dust Devils. Friday's game includes a Tribute Night to Boston Red Sox great Johnny Pesky. Pesky's brother, Vince, and his Red Sox teammate, Hall of Famer Bobby Doerr, will be on hand along with many other baseball old-timers to pay tribute to Pesky who recently passed away. Get your tickets NOW for this great event -- a spectacular Fan Appreciation Fireworks Show will follow Friday's game: If you purchase in advance of game day, you SAVE $1.00 per ticket !
Tuesday, August 28th - The Volcanoes will open their final regular season five-game homestand against the Tri-City Dust Devils, affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. It is our final "2 For Tuesday - Bring A Friend" Night, which provides you the opportunity to Buy 1 Ticket at regular price, and Get 1 Ticket in the same section for just $5.00. It is also Marion County Night - all employees of Marion County, and their immediate family members, will be admitted for just $5.00 simply by showing their County ID. Game time is 6:35; Gates Open at 5:30.
Wednesday, August 29th - The Volcanoes continue action against the Dust Devils, and it is our final Wednesday $1 Family Feast Night, sponsored by Franz Bakery, where you can get a Hotdog for just $1, a Soda for just $1, a Popcorn for just $1 or a Ice Cream for just $1. Feed the entire family with this tremendous Wednesday promotion. It's also Salem Community Night - residents of Salem will be admitted for just $5.00 by showing proof of residency (driver's license, utility bill etc), and various city official will be honored during the game. In addition, CenturyLink is teaming with Marion-Polk Food Share to collect canned goods and dry food items for the many needy families in our area. A food item(s) donation at the front gate would be greatly appreciated.
Thursday, August 30th - The Volcanoes play the Dust Devils in game three of the five-game series, and it is our last $1.00 Thursday Nights where selected adult beverages are just $1.00 during the game in the Stadium's Lava Lodge Sports Pub. Game Time is 6:35; Gates Open at 5:30. It's also Keizer Community Night, sponsored by the Keizertimes and Porter's Pub - residents of Keizer will be admitted for just $5.00 by showing proof of residency (driver's license, utility bill etc), or by presenting a coupon published in the Keizertimes, or available at Porter's Pub and various city official will be honored during the game. The docents from the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum will also be honored prior to the game. And it is also Teacher/Staff In-Service Night where all teachers and classified staff, and their immediate family members, will be admitted for just $5.00 each. Great time to show your school spirit, wear your school colors, and have a lot of fun.
Friday, August 31st - Action continues with the Dust Devils, and it is Union Solidarity Night, and we invite all members of the various unions to join us for fun and camaraderie. It is also our last FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA, sponsored by Bi-Mart. In addition, we will have a "Johnny Pesky Tribute" Night as the great Boston Red Sox player, coach, manager and front-office executive, from Portland, passed on August 13, 2012. Johnny was with Boston for 61 years. Many old-time baseball greats will be here including Vince Pesky, Johnny's brother, and arguably the Greatest Second Baseman of all times, Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer, Bobby Doerr . Game Time is 7:05; Gates Open at 6:00.
Saturday, September 1 - We finish the regular season, and the homestand with the Tri-City Dust Devils. It is also our last Saturday Prize Wheel Night, sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings, where fans can spin to win a great prize. Have fun spinning the Prize Wheel. Game time is 7:05; Gates Open at 6:00.
