Bears Begin Final Regular Season Homestand Tuesday

The Yakima Bears are getting set for the final regular season homestand, which will include five 7:05 games beginning Tuesday against the Vancouver Canadians.

Tuesday night, the Bears are hosting Clean Out the Closet Night. Fans will receive a variety of goodies as they enter the Yakima County Stadium gates. Mini bats, t-shirts, and many other vintage Bears items will be given away. Fans can also give, as Northwest Center will be accepting clothing donations at the gate. Bears merchandise will be available at discounted rates in the team shop, a sale that will continue throughout the homestand.

Wednesday and Thursday the Bears will put on some of the most popular promotions the team has had in 2012. Wednesday is $2.00 Bi-Mart Night, with vouchers available at Bi-Mart for $2.00 general admission tickets. Thursday is Thirsty Thursday, with $1.00 sodas and half-priced domestic beers available.

Friday is Back to School Night with the Bears. The first 500 kids in attendance will receive a drawstring Bears logo backpack courtesy of Heritage University.

Finally, the regular season ends Saturday with Fan Appreciation Night. Before fans enter the gates they can take advantage of free parking, courtesy of the County Fairgrounds. The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a free Bears logo baseball from Yakima Regional Medical Center. Once the game ends, the Bears will put on a fireworks extravaganza.

Tickets for the Bears upcoming playoff games against the Boise Hawks are also currently on sale. The first of four possible home playoff games is scheduled for 7:05 Tuesday September 4th. Ticket packages are available that allow fans to reserve seats for all of the possible home playoff games.
