Orange County Flyers News Release

Wednesday night, the Calgary Vipers (10-5) picked up where they left off in the second game Monday night and pounded the Orange County Flyers (6-8) 13-3 in the first game of doubleheader at Goodin Field in Fullerton.

Carlos Duncan did most of the damage for Calgary going 4-5 with two homers and eight RBI.

The Flyers' starter Andre Simpson was pitching on three days rest and ate up six innings with another 130 pitch performance. But Calgary got to him early and often, tagging him for nine runs and eleven hits, while he still managed to strike out six.

It was Calgary's starter, Evan Greusel who had success striking out six in a complete game victory to improve to 6-2 on the year.

The two teams finished up the two double header, four game series with the night cap a half hour later.
