LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (2-3) fall to Lakeland Magic (3-1) 99-95 on Tuesday's morning matchup at AdventHealth Arena. Houston Rockets assignee KJ Martin recorded his fourth consecutive double-double of the season with 23 points, 19 rebounds (career-high). The 19 rebounds mark Martin's fifth 10+ total rebounds in a row.
Rockets assignee Kevin Porter Jr. totaled 13 points, five rebounds and four assists. Brodric Thomas racked 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Armoni Brooks from off the bench accumulated 18 points, three rebounds, four assists, while shooting 46.7% from the field and 44.4% from beyond the arc. He currently leads the NBA G League with 21 three-pointers made. Josh Reaves recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Andrew Rowsey led the way for Lakeland with 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Tahjere McCall (12 PTS, 12 REB) and Milwaukee Bucks assignee Mamadi Diakite (16 PTS, 13 REB) each recorded a double-double.
