The Saskatoon Blades are pleased to announce 19 year old forward Marek Viedensky as the team's playoff MVP. The 6'3, 193lbs native of Handlova, Slovakia accumulated 7 goals and 3 assists for 10 points in 10 playoff games, including the overtime game winner in game #3 of the Eastern Conference quarter-finals vs. the Red Deer Rebels.
Although the Blades season has come to a close, the 2009 San Jose Sharks draft pick will join their AHL affiliate team, the Worchester Sharks, for their playoff run. The Sharks will take on the Lowell Devils tonight in Worchester, Massachusetts on route to the Calder Cup.
