Moncton, NB – Despite being outshot 41 – 22, the visiting Victoriaville Tigers downed the Moncton Wildcats 3 – 0 before 3,545 at the Moncton Coliseum on Tuesday.

The Tigers led 1 – 0 after the first period on a goal by Jan Danecek (2nd). The teams battled through a scoreless second period before Danny Hollett (2nd) and Danecek (3rd, en) sealed the victory in the third period.

Moncton outshot Victoriaville in each period, including 12 – 8 in the first, 11 – 7 in the second and 18 – 7 in the third. Victoriaville was 0 for 5 on the powerplay, while Moncton went 0 for 8. Goaltender Josh Tordjman blocked all 41 shots he faced to improve his record to 3 – 3 – 0, while Moncton's J.C. Blanchard allowed two goals on 21 shots to even his record to 1 – 1 – 0. The game's three stars were #1 – Josh Tordjman, #2 – Jan Danecek and #3 – Bruce Graham.

Moncton remains in second place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 5 – 2 – 1 (11 pts), while Victoriaville moves into a tie for second place in the Western Division with a record of 4 – 3 – 0 (8 pts). Moncton continues their home stand on Thursday, when they will host the Quebec Remparts in a 7 pm contest at the Moncton Coliseum.
