@ Long Beach Ice Dogs

LAST GAME: To clinch a two-game series and the final game versus Bakersfield this season, the Salmon Kings needed an extra period. Josh Liebenow gave the Condors the lead in the first period, but the Salmon Kings responded soon after as the now named "Condor killer" Marc-Andre Bernier scored his fifth goal in five games against Bakersfield. Liebenow scored his second of the game to regain the lead, but Bernier tallied his second to even the score. Victoria captured the lead as F.P. Guenette finished a 2-on-1 rush with his eighth goal of the season.

In the second period, Bernier beat Goaltender Danny Taylor for the hat trick and the Victoria two-goal lead, but the Condors tied the game with two powerplay goals from Steve Rodberg and Sean Venedam before the close of the period.

Rookie Defenseman Matt Kelly scored his sixth goal of the season to give Victoria the edge on the powerplay; however with 1:06 remaining in regulation, Bakersfield's Alex Kim tallied a shorthanded goal to send the game to overtime.

Rookie Netminder Alexandre Vincent made 50 saves for Victoria in his pro debut, and Wes Goldie won the game with a breakaway feed from Guenette in overtime.

6-5 Salmon Kings

LAST GAME vs Long Beach: In their third drop in to Long Beach, the Salmon Kings once again relied on the Goldie touch to lead them to victory. Ryan Wade sent Wes Goldie on a breakaway in the opening period, and Goldie scored the first Victoria goal for the third time in Long Beach. Kiel McLeod gave the Salmon Kings a two-goal advantage sliding in from the left crease after winning a faceoff and tucking the puck past Goaltender Mike Brown.

Victoria Netminder Bryan Bridges held off 34 shots after two periods to protect the two-goal lead into the final stanza.

A Long Beach powerplay revived the team as Brandon Schwartz tapped in a loose puck, but Goldie clinched the win with an empty-net goal with 32 seconds remaining.
