Phoenix, Ariz. - The world champion Arizona Rattlers have been assigned kicker Fabrizio Scaccia for the 2015 Arena Football League (AFL) season. This will be Scaccia's fifth season in the AFL, his third with the Rattlers.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Scaccia returns to Arizona where he began his AFL career. Scaccia played for the Rattlers from 2010 to 2011, where he made 170 point after touchdowns (PATs) out of 187 attempts (91%). He earned All-Arena second team honors in 2011 with the Rattlers.

Prior to joining the Rattlers, Scaccia played for the Jacksonville Sharks in 2014 and the Iowa Barnstormers in 2013. While at Iowa, Scaccia converted 93% of his PATs, for the second highest conversion rate of the season; second only to then Rattlers kicker Garrett Lindholm (94.6%).

In 2010, Scaccia tried out for the National Football League's (NFL) San Francisco 49ers. San Francisco signed Scaccia to their practice squad where he stayed for the remainder of the season.

The Oceanside, New York native was a multi-sport athlete at Port St. Lucie West Centennial High School (Florida). He was a four year letterman in soccer, and earned first-team all-state honors during his senior year.

The Arizona Rattlers (2-1) return home to take on the Portland Thunder (2-1) this Saturday, April 18th at 6:00 p.m. at the US Airways Center. For additional information please visit www.azrattlers.com.
