
Veteran DT Anttaj Hawthorne Assigned to Rattlers

Phoenix, Ariz. - The world champion Arizona Rattlers have been assigned defensive tackle Anttaj Hawthorne for the 2015 Arena Football League (AFL) season. This will be Hawthorne's seventh season with the Arizona Rattlers.
Hawthorne has been a mainstay in Arizona, having anchored the defensive line for the past six seasons. Last season, he became the Rattlers all-time sack leader with 27. In 2014, Hawthorne played in 15 regular season games, during which he total 17.5 tackles, 5.5 of which were for a loss, and 2 forced fumbles. Hawthorne received first team All-Arena honors in 2011.
The 6-foot-3, 345-pound Hawthorne was a four-year starter at Wisconsin where he earned Third Team All-American honors during his senior year. He also received All-Big Ten honors three times during his college career.
