LA KISS Make Five More Roster Additions

(ANAHEIM, CA) - The LA KISS made several more roster moves on Wednesday, including the acquisitions of five more players to their 2015 roster. The team has added veteran wide receiver Rod Harper and four rookies - offensive linemen Will Latu and Harris Bivin, defensive back Laron Scott, and wide receiver Jabin Sambrano.

Bivin (6-3, 320, Murray State) anchored the offensive line in 39 games for the Murray State Racers during his collegiate career. He projects as a center for the KISS.

Harper (6-0, 205, Murray State) enters his third season in the AFL and his first with the KISS. After hauling in 51 receptions for 472 yards and 12 touchdowns in seven games as a rookie for the Spokane Shock in 2012, Harper broke out for the San Jose Sabercats last season, totaling 100 receptions for 1,027 yards and 18 scores. He began his professional career with the NFL's Green Bay Packers in 2008 before heading to the Arkansas Twisters of the af2 in 2009. He earned a Super Bowl ring as a member of the New Orleans Saints in 2009 and has also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders in addition to his AFL experience. Prior to turning pro, Harper was an All-Ohio Valley Conference selection as a receiver at Murray State. He finished his college career ranked third in school history with 1,653 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns.

Latu (6-4,320, Abilene Christian) lined up at guard in college at Abilene Christian. Prior to joining the KISS, Latu spent time as an undrafted rookie free agent for the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs.

Sambrano (5-11, 185, Montana) was a three-year starter for the Montana Grizzlies, finishing his college career with 1,787 receiving yards. The two-time All-Big Sky Conference selection began his professional career as an undrafted rookie free agent with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts in 2012. He also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars before coming to the KISS.

Scott (5-10, 185, Georgia Southern) was a three-year letterman at Georgia Southern after transferring from Butler Community College. He appeared in 40 games at cornerback for the Eagles and finished his college career with 154 tackles, 48 passes defensed, and 12 interceptions. Scott also served as the team's primary kick return specialist, totaling 81 returns for 2,257 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Scott previously spent time in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints and New York Giants prior to coming to the Arena Football League.

In corresponding transactions to make room on the roster, the team has placed fullback Derrick Ross and defensive backs Terrence Johnson and Akwasi Owusu-Ansah on Refuse to Report; defensive back Romeo Pellum, defensive linemen Nigel Nicholas and fullback Andres Vargas on Physically Unable to Perform; and linebacker Aaron Davis on reassignment.

LA KISS Training Camp opens up this Friday, March 6th with the official team roster. A FREE Scrimmage Preseason game is scheduled for Thursday, March 19th at Honda Center against the San Jose Sabercats. The 2015 LA KISS regular season will open on the road on March 27th in Portland, and the LA KISS home opener on April 11th Vs the new expansion team Las Vegas Outlaws at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
