
Vermont Inches Closer To Playoffs With Win Over Montreal

Barre, VT - Vermont's second game in two days lead to another Frost Heaves victory as they put away Montreal with a 116-91 victory. Vermont had six players in double figures and never trailed in the game after jumping out to a quick 5-0 lead.
The Frost Heaves were lead in scoring by Benson Callier and Joe Nixon who both put up 19 points. Greg Plummer and Thomas Sanders each had 15 followed by John Williams with 12 and John Smith with 11. John Bryant had 14 rebounds to lead a strong defensive effort and Frost Heaves forced 27 turnovers on 18 steals and outrebounded Montreal 61 - 47.
The Frost Heaves get right back at it tomorrow when they face the Buffalo Stampede in Barre at 2:05 p.m.
With a win tomorrow, the Frost Heaves will clinch a wild-card spot.
