
Groove continue to slide - drop decision to Rochester

Rochester, NY- Sammy Monroe had 22 points to lead seven RazorSharks in double figures as Rochester cruises past Augusta 123-109.
The RazorSharks, who are now 11-3 on the season, lead for all but 4:51 of the contest. They took the lead for good at 12-10 when Sammy Monroe hit from the right baseline. Rochester would lead by as many as 25 before Augusta went on a late fourth quarter run to close the final margin to 14.
Rochester got 22 from Monroe; James Reaves added 21 and Jerice Crouch had 18. Rochester is now 11-3 and are tied with Wilmington for the lead in the PBL's Eastern Division.
Augusta, who have now lost four of their last five, was lead by Donielle Davis who had a game high 23. Demitrius Howard pitched in 19 and Roderick Mac Ghee had 17.
Up next for the RazorSharks are the Wilmington Sea Dawgs on Tuesday night in Rochester. Augusta is on the road on Sunday afternoon to take on the Detroit Panthers.
Notes: Rochester shot 50.5% from the field and held the Groove to just 39.8 percent shooting. The two teams combined to hit 28 three pointers. Augusta outrebounded the RazorSharks 48-45.
