AUGUSTA, NJ --- The summer of rain continued on Monday night as the New York-Penn League game between the Vermont Expos and New Jersey Cardinals at Skylands Park was postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday night beginning at 5:05 p.m. Monday's scheduled starter A.J. Wideman will start game one for the Expos, while Jim Henderson will start game two.
It was the second straight day that the Expos have been rained out and the 10th time this season. Vermont will now have a doubleheader on Tuesday and a single game Wednesday at New Jersey, followed by a doubleheader Thursday night with Lowell at Centennial Field beginning at 6:05 p.m. The Expos season will then conclude with single games Friday and Saturday with the Spinners.
Weather permiting of course.
