LOWELL, Mass. - Current Boston Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis and first baseman/outfielder David McCarty are making rehab starts with the Lowell Spinners in tonight's game.
Kevin Youkilis becomes the first Lowell Spinner alumni to make a rehab start with his former team. Youkilis played for the Spinners during the 2001 season.
In ironic fashion, tonight's Lowell Spinners Notebook Giveaway to the first 1,500 fans features Kevin Youkilis when he played for the Spinners.
