WHO: Yakov Yavno, Artur Kalantarov of Cirque du Soleil and the Malika Dance Ensemble
WHAT: Russian Night at KeySpan Park
The Brooklyn Cyclones will host Russian Night on Tuesday, August 31st. At 6:00 PM, the local Russian-American youngsters who recently received training from the Brooklyn Cyclones at the Russian Clinic at Marine Park on August 19, will take the field for a short ceremony. At 6:15 PM, before the game between the Brooklyn Cyclones and Batavia Muckdogs, a coterie of Russian singers and dancers will participate in an on field musical extravaganza. Yakov Yavno, Artur Kalantarov, a dancer from Russia who flies through the air with Cirque du Soleil and the Malika Dance Ensemble, the world's most renowned practitioners of the dances of Uzbekistan, will all perform.
