Vause Recalled by AHL's Stars

Boise, ID (11/28/13) -Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Thursday that forward Taylor Vause has been recalled from the Idaho Steelheads to the American Hockey League by the Texas Stars.

Texas (AHL) and Idaho (ECHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL's Dallas Stars.

Vause, 22, has six goals and three assists in 17 games with the Steelheads. He scored a goal in Idaho's win Tuesday over the Las Vegas Wranglers, his first goal since November 2. The Calgary, Alberta, product was assigned to Idaho in time for the season opener after signing an AHL-level contract with Texas. He has skated in 62 AHL games as a pro, all for Texas, accumulating five goals and 14 assists along the way.

The Steelheads return to action on Friday at CenturyLink Arena for CenturyLink Hat Night when Idaho hosts the Las Vegas Wranglers. Game time is 7:10 PM and tickets are available by calling 208-331-8497.
