Vancouver Whitecaps FC Begin Season Ticket Renewals and Sales for 2012 Season

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC will launch season ticket renewals for the club's second Major League Soccer (MLS) season starting tomorrow - Thursday, August 18. Prospective new season ticket holders will have the opportunity purchase season tickets as of Tuesday, August 23.

2012 season ticket holders will receive tickets to all MLS regular season and all Nutrilite Canadian Championship matches. Season ticket holders also receive priority purchase rights to international and playoff match tickets. Other benefits include significant savings over individual match ticket pricing, the opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets for select concerts at BC Place, and discounts on Whitecaps FC merchandise.

*Plus applicable taxes and $10 processing fee per order

Pricing for 2012 season tickets is less than three per cent higher than 2011 pricing and reflects the facility fees associated with the club's new home at Bell Pitch downtown at BC Place.

"Whitecaps FC season tickets continue to be an exceptional value, with tickets starting as low as $329 per seat," said Paul Barber, Whitecaps FC chief executive officer. "65 per cent of all inventory of Whitecaps FC tickets are valued at less than $599, which make season tickets a great option for all fans. We thank our supporters for the fantastic atmosphere they created in our inaugural season in MLS, and look forward to welcoming them back to Bell Pitch downtown for our second season in March 2012. "

On August 18, current season ticket holders will receive their 2012 season ticket invoice and deposit information via email. Season ticket holders who pay their deposit by Monday, October 10, will be entered into a draw to win one of two grand prizes for a trip for two to the 2011 MLS Cup in Los Angeles, California.

Fans interested in purchasing new season tickets for the 2012 season can start the selection and purchase process on August 23. Every two weeks, all committed 2012 season ticket holders will be entered into a draw for great bonus prizes from Whitecaps FC partners, including a Whitecaps-branded mini fridge from Budweiser, and a penthouse prize pack from River Rock Casino Resort, among others.
