
Valour FC Schedule Revealed

WINNIPEG, MB. - Valour FC will kick off the inaugural 2019 Canadian Premier League season at Westhills Stadium against Pacific FC on Wednesday, May 1st. The team's home opener, which was announced last week, will take place Saturday, May 4th, at 5:00 p.m. CT against the visiting FC Edmonton.
During the month of June, the team will make history with its first-ever Canadian Championship match. Valour FC will begin play in the second qualifying round and meet the winner between Vaughn Azzurri (League 1 Ontario) and Halifax Wanderers (CPL). The first leg of the home and away series will be played Wednesday, June 5th while the second leg (here at Investors Group Field) will take place Wednesday, June 12th.
Some other highlights of the 28-match schedule include a Canada Day meeting at home against York 9 FC (5:00 p.m. CT) and a Labour Day match-up against Cavalry FC at Investors Group Field (2:30 p.m. CT). Valour will close out the season at Westhills Stadium on Saturday, October 19th against Pacific FC.

LEAGUE SCHEDULING
The Spring Competition season will run from April 27 to July 1 (Canada Day) using Canada's National Holiday appropriately to celebrate the first portion of the 2019 season
All seven clubs will play 10 matches in the Spring competition
The Fall Competition season will run from July 6 to October 19
All seven clubs will play 18 matches in the Fall competition following the table reset on July 2
LEAGUE FORMAT
Each CPL club will play 28 regular season games 14 home, 14 away, split over two halves of the 2019 season
All clubs will play against one another at least four times, and at most five times in the regular season
The season will be separated into two distinct halves to crown winners that will advance to the Canadian Premier League 2019 Championship
All seven clubs will compete in a single table
o 3 points for a victory
o 1 point for a draw
o 0 points for a loss
The winner of the Spring competition will be the club with the most points at the end of the season on Canada Day (July 1) and will be the first club playing in the Canadian Premier League 2019 Championship
The winner* of the Fall competition will be the club with the most points on October 19 following the table reset on July 2 and will be the second club playing in the Canadian Premier League 2019 Championship
*If same team wins, next highest cumulative point total across both competitions earns berth
