
Utah's Dell Named Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Aaron Dell of the Utah Grizzlies is the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for January.
Dell went 8-2-1 with one shutout, a 2.15 goals-against average and a save percentage of .916 in 11 appearances during the month.
The 24-year-old allowed two goals or less in nine of his 11 appearances and made at least 26 saves five times. He made a season high 35 saves in a 3-2 victory at Orlando on Jan. 2 and recorded his second shutout of the season on Jan. 17, stopping all 27 shots he faced in a 3-0 win at Idaho. Dell was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Jan. 26 after posting a 2-0-0 record with a 1.44 goals-against average and a save percentage of .949.
A native of Airdrie, Alberta, Dell has won five straight starts, and is 13-3-1 overall this season while ranking fourth in the ECHL with a 2.09 goals-against average and tied for eighth with a .920 save percentage. He has allowed two goals or less in 13 of his 17 appearances.
Last season, Dell was named Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Year with Allen after going 22-11-6 with three shutouts, a 2.30 goals-against average and a save percentage of .916. Prior to turning pro, he played three seasons at the University of North Dakota where he posted a career record of 48-20-5 with nine shutouts, a 2.15 goals-against average and a save percentage of .912.
