
US Olympian At The Garage On Friday

FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics would like to welcome to the "Garage," U.S. Olympic Women's Hockey player Angela Ruggiero of Harper Woods to the game on Friday as she will be signing autographs and dropping the ceremonial first puck.
Ruggiero, 25, of course is the sister of current Mechanic player, Bill Ruggiero. The two made history last season when Bill was playing in the CHL with the Tulsa Oilers. They became the first brother and sister to play in the same game.
As well as being selected to her third Olympics this February, Ruggiero is also an accomplished author. Her autobiography, "Breaking the Ice" came out in November and has already sold hundreds of copies.
Along with the Olympic accolades and authoring, Ruggiero graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Government in 2004.
The Mechanics take on the Quad City Mallards on Friday the 23rd Friday is a Radio Disney Holiday with the Mechanics. Come join the Mechanics and Radio Disney's own, Miss Firecracker as she will be on hand and kids can sing Christmas carols on the ice during the first intermission.
