Union Enjoy Bye Week After 1-1 Tie Against Seattle

Chester, Pa. (April 18, 2011) - Philadelphia Union (3-1-1, 10 points) remain unbeaten at home after a 1-1 tie against Seattle Sounders FC, on Saturday, April 16 at PPL Park. The Union now enjoy a bye week this weekend after the club agreed to move their match at Real Salt Lake, originally slated for Saturday, April 23 to Saturday, September 3. The two clubs mutually agreed to move the match in support of Real Salt Lake's bid to win the upcoming CONCACAF Champions League Final.

Philadelphia Union midfielder Zach Pfeffer will compete with the U-17 U.S. Men's National Team'95s in the 2011 Mondial Minimes Montaigu Tournament to be held in Montaigu, France from April 18-26. The Union's first ever home grown signee arrived in France today. The U.S. U-17 MNT will face Portugal, host country France and Japan on April 20, April 21 and April 23, respectively, as part of the 39th edition of the tournament. On April 25, Pfeffer and the U.S. will match up with a team still to be determined in the placement games.
