
Ulmer to Play for Team Austria

Eighteen-year-old Stefan Ulmer will play for Team Austria at the 2009 Division I Group B IIHF World Under 20 Championships in Denmark beginning on December 15th.
Ulmer, Spokane's lone selection in the 2007 CHL Import Draft, is in his second season in a Spokane jersey and leads all Chief defensemen with three goals and 19 points in 29 games. He is also +8.
Austria is one of six teams in the tournament, including Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Norway and the Ukraine.
Ulmer will travel on December 11th and miss three games before the WHL holiday break. The tournament will conclude on December 21st.
