
UHL names weekly award winner

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Monday that Muskegon Fury center Todd Robinson has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week and Bloomington PrairieThunder goaltender Jeff Reynaert has been named Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 7th, 2007.
Robinson completed the week with nine points (2g, 7a) and a plus-6 rating in four games played. He dished out two assists in the second period of Wednesday's 4-3 win vs. Chicago. On Friday, he registered three points (1g, 2a) in the 5-4 win vs. Chicago. Robinson dished out two more assists and scored on his shootout attempt in the 4-3 shootout loss to Port Huron on Saturday. He ended the week with his fourth consecutive multi-point game when he recorded two points (1g, 1a) in the 7-4 win vs. Elmira on Sunday. The 28-year-old native of Trail, British Columbia currently leads the UHL in scoring with 75 points (25g, 50a). It is the second weekly honor this season for Robinson who was also recently selected to the Eastern Conference roster for the 2007 UHL All-Star Classic.
Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week include: Bloomington center Tyler Rennette, Chicago right wing Greg Koehler, Elmira right wing Frank Littlejohn, Flint right win Jan Jas, Fort Wayne left wing Daniel Goneau, Kalamazoo left wing Nick Bootland, Port Huron right wing Bobby Kukulka, Quad City right wing Chad Woollard, and Rockford center Mike Doyle.
Reynaert finished the week with a 2-0-0 record, a 1.50 goals against average (GAA), and a .947 save percentage (SPCT). On Thursday, he made 18 saves in regulation and stopped four of five shooters in the shootout during the 2-1 shootout win vs. Rockford. The win helped the PrairieThunder snap a nine-game winless streak. He then made 36 saves in the 7-2 win vs. Chicago on Saturday. The 27-year-old native of Sterling Heights, Michigan is playing in his fifth UHL season. He currently ranks third among UHL goaltenders with 788 saves and ranks seventh with a .907 SPCT.
