TUKWILA, Wash. - Kenny Cooper scored twice as Seattle Sounders FC beat PSA Elite (USASA), 5-0, in the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday night at Starfire Stadium. The five-goal win matched the largest margin of victory in club history.

Sounders FC advanced to the fifth round of the U.S. Open Cup, where it will host the San Jose Earthquakes on Tuesday, June 24. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT. Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 20, at 10 a.m. PT at SoundersFC.com/tickets.

Sounders FC opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Brad Evans converted a penalty kick after a foul on Aaron Kovar in the box. Kovar made a run into the box and was taken down by PSA Elite defender Aaron Simmons. Evans slotted his attempt to the right corner for his second career Open Cup goal for Seattle.

Sounders FC doubled its lead in the 39th minute when Kovar's corner kick found Zach Scott in the box. Scott snapped a header inside the far post, marking his second Open Cup goal for Sounders FC.

Seattle added a third tally just before the halftime mark when David Estrada sent a cross to Cooper in the center of the box. Cooper's diving header beat the goalkeeper for his first Open Cup goal for Seattle.

Cooper scored his second goal of the match in 56th minute when he smashed an overhead shot into the side netting for a 4-nil lead, marking the ninth career Open Cup goal for Cooper.

Sean Okoli added the fifth and final tally in the 85th minute. Chad Barrett slid a low cross through the box that Okoli tapped in for his first competitive goal with Sounders FC.

Marcus Hahnemann made his first competitive start of the 2014 season, recording the shutout victory. Sounders FC outshot PSA Elite, 21-1, including 13-0 on goal.
