FC Cincinnati News Release
CINCINNATI, OH --- Tyler Polak was named to the USL Team of the Week for the first time this season after posting an assist and making a key defensive play in FC Cincinnati's 1-0 win over Toronto FC II last week.
Polak served up his first assist of the 2017 campaign, connecting with Danni König for the game-winning goal in the 18th minute. The Lincoln, Neb. product also had a key goal-line save that kept TFCII off the scoreboard with what would have been the tying goal.
He led the team with 71 touches and had a pair off blocks and clearances. Polak, who has played in 11 games and made 10 starts for FCC, has been voted to the USL Team of the Week twice in his career.
FCC hosts the third round of the U.S. Open Cup tomorrow night against Louisville City FC at 7:00 p.m. at Nippert Stadium. Tickets are available by visiting fccincinnati.com/tickets or by calling 513-977-KICK.
