San Antonio FC News Release

SAN ANTONIO, TX - San Antonio FC goalkeeper Diego Restrepo has been named to the USL Team of the Week, the league announced today. Restrepo helped lead SAFC to a 1-0 win over Swope Park Rangers and the club's fifth straight shutout last Friday.

Restrepo made four crucial saves and recorded one clearance while holding Swope Park Rangers scoreless to help SAFC earn their ninth win in 11 matches to start the 2017 season. With the victory, SAFC tied the all-time USL single-season road winning streak, earning five straight road victories to start the year. The 29-year-old goalkeeper has made seven consecutive appearances and six straight starts, recording five straight shutouts after goalkeeper Matt Cardone suffered a lower body injury on April 22 at Vancouver. In his seven matches, Restrepo has conceded just two goals and has made 16 saves while recording an 88.9 percent save percentage.

With the honor, Restrepo has now earned his second USL Team of the Week inclusion this season after also being included for his performance vs. the Sacramento Republic on May 6. San Antonio has had at least one representative in the USL Team of the Week following eight of the club's 11 matches this season.
