Tyler Donati Nets Second Player Of The Week

The ECHL announced Tuesday that right winger Tyler Donati has been named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for February 8-14. This is Donati's second weekly honor of 2009-2010, having also received the award for the week of Jan. 18-24.
This past week, he led the ECHL with seven assists and 10 points as the Jackals went 2-1-0-0. On Friday, he had his fifth game this season with at least four points when he had the game-winning goal and three assists in a 4-3 comeback victory in Wheeling. He followed up that game with a goal and two assists on Saturday in Wheeling and Sunday at First Arena against Trenton.
Donati leads the ECHL with 54 assists and 79 points. He is tied for third-longest current scoring streak in the league with twin brother Justin Donati with points in each of the last 11 games (10g-21a).
On behalf of Tyler Donati, a case of pucks will be donated to an Elmira youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-2001, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 23,100 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
