
Two-Time NAL Champion Receiver Returns to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks have announced today the signing of three time All-NAL Wide Receiver Devin Wilson. Devin led the Sharks in all receiving categories for the last two seasons and will begin his fourth season with the Jacksonville Sharks and seventh year of his arena football career.

Wilson (6'3, 218) the Sharks superstar wide receiver led the 2021 Jacksonville Sharks in receptions, yards, and touchdowns last season he also was a team captain. Wilson was awarded Second Team All-NAL honors with a season total of 62 catches for 705 yards, and 14 touchdowns. As one of the league's top receivers he finished third overall in receptions and receiving touchdowns but finished second in average receptions per game (7.8).
Wilson had a career year in Jacksonville during the 2019 season where he led the Shark in all receiving categories, finished First Team All-NAL and helped lift the Sharks to their second NAL Championship title. Wilson's 2019 campaign resulted in an impressive 102 receptions for 1,179 yards, and 29 touchdowns.
In 2018, Wilson played for the Maine Mammoths of the NAL. Wilson was the only Mammoth to receive First Team All-NAL honors. In his solo season in Maine, Wilson racked up 79 receptions for 1,035 yards and 27 touchdowns, leading the team in both receiving yards and touchdowns. During the 2017 season, Wilson was a member of the Sharks first National Arena League title team playing in six games where he had 18 receptions for 170 yards and three touchdowns. Wilson and the Sharks finished the season 13-1 and won the team's first All-NAL Championship title. Wilson came to the Sharks after leaving the Cleveland Gladiators of the AFL, where he played two seasons (2016-2017). During his time in Cleveland he hauled in 21 passes for 262 yards and scored nine touchdowns for the Gladiators.
Wilson began his arena football career with former Sharks head coach James Fuller in 2015 with the Richmond Raiders, helping the team to a playoff semi-final victory over the Nashville Venom coached by former Cobras head coach Billy Back and a league championship appearance against Jason Gibson and the Columbus Lions. Devin also played in the CFL (Canadian Football League) with the Saskatchewan Roughriders during the 2015 season.

Wilson attended Tennessee State University from 2009-2013. During his college career, he totaled 76 receptions for 935 yards and six touchdowns. Wilson is from Nashville, Tennessee and attended Pope John II High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was a Two-Time All-Region Wide Receiver who also made All-Region in Track & Field.
