Washington, PA - Two Riverhounds were among the players announced as part of the USL Second Division Team yesterday according to officials. Goal Keeper Terry McNelis and Forward Mike Apple were both honored to be listed on Week 17 Team.

McNelis was honored because he had seven saves in the HOUNDS® 2-0 victory over Cincinnati last Saturday. McNelis, who shares time in goal with Chris Robinson, is credited with 48 saves this season.

Apple, who returned to the Riverhounds this season after spending three seasons with the Major Indoor Soccer League's St. Louis Steamers, was credited with one goal and one assist in the Cincinnati match up. Apple has played 814 minutes and has scored three goals and one assist this season for Pittsburgh.

The Riverhounds, who advanced to the USL Division II Playoffs, will host the Charlotte Eagles at Falconi Field this Friday. Both teams will then head to Charlotte where they will compete in the second game of the series. If the teams split the series, the team with the highest aggregate score will advance to the finals.

For playoff tickets, phone the Falconi Field Box Office at 724-250-9555. All seats are $5.00 and kids in soccer uniforms get in free.
