Two Pats To Play In ADT Canada/Russia Challenge

Regina SK ---- This afternoon the CHL announced that two Regina Pats defencemen will play in the December 1st ADT Canada/Russia Challenge in Regina on Thursday, December 1st at Brandt Centre.

Nineteen-year-old Pats captain Kyle Deck & seventeen-year-old defenceman Logan Pyett were named to the twenty-two-player WHL roster that will compete against Team Russia. Regina Pats Head Coach, Curtis Hunt will serve with Cory Clouston of the Kootenay Ice as Assistant Coaches with Head Coach, Brent Sutter, of the Red Deer Rebels. Pats Athletic Therapist, Greg Mayer, will serve in the same capacity with Team WHL in Regina,

"We are thrilled for Kyle and Logan to be given the opportunity to play in the ADT Canada/Russia Challenge, and to have Curtis Hunt and Greg Mayer join them as part of the staff is an added bonus. This will be a real treat for our fans to see tremendous international hockey at Brandt Center and the fact that the Pats are well represented should make it a special night," commented Pats GM Brent Parker.

The selection committee consisted of Donn Clark, Prince Albert Raiders, Bruce Hamilton, Kelowna Rockets, Brent Sutter, Red Deer Rebels and Blair Mackasey, Hockey Canada.
