Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release
Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce that af2 has assigned offensive/defensive lineman Rocco Nori and Tom DeMoss to the team's 2005 roster. "Both players have great character and were leaders on their respective teams," said Pioneers Head Coach Les Moss.
Rocco Nori is a 6'0 300 lb lineman who attended Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA. His senior season he played in 13 games racking up 44 tackles (27 unassisted) with 16 for a loss, 7.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
"We saw game film on Rocco and we invited him to our tryout on March 5th," said Coach Moss. "He did a good job at our open tryout so he signed a contract and was invited to training cam. Rocco had an excellent college career at Washington and Jefferson and we are looking for him to help improve our pass rush."
"Tom had a great college career at Widener. He was an excellent inside player as an interior lineman," said Moss of DeMoss. "He has a lot of strength at the point of attach and will be another good addition to our pass rush defense."
DeMoss is a 6'1 295 lb lineman that played for Widener University in Chester, PA. He played in 39 games for the Pioneers racking up 227 tackles (103 unassisted) with 49 for a loss, 25 sacks and 5 forced fumbles.
