As the Brooks Robinson Prize winner, Mahoney is the eighth Frederick Key to earn the award in a season which he played for the Keys. He is also the third player to receive the honor in as many years (Brandon Waring, 2009 & Matt Wieters, 2008). Four of seven prior recipients have become big leaguers including David Segui (1989), Nick Markakis (2005), and Wieters (2008).

Julius is the fourth Key in five seasons to be honored with the Elrod Hendricks Prize for outstanding community service in the Orioles system. Caleb Joseph won the award last year, current Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher, Jason Berken, received the honor in 2007, and Jake Duncan won the award in 2006. Julius spent over 50 hours at various community events in the Frederick area this season. The appearances included autograph signings, working camps and clinics, and entertaining underprivileged youth. In addition, Julius also received the Steve Bechler Memorial Spirit Award from the Frederick Keys and the Matt Minker Community Service Award from the Carolina League in 2010.

Selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 33rd round of the 2007 draft out of the University of Arkansas, Julius had a breakout season with Frederick in 2010. In his fourth professional season, the New Albany, IN native set new career highs in almost every offensive category including batting average, doubles, RBI, and home runs. He finished the season hitting .285 with 15 doubles, 12 home runs and 50 RBIs.

Britton will receive the Jim Palmer Prize as the most outstanding pitcher in the Orioles farm system. In 25 outings last season in Frederick, Britton went 9-6 with a 2.70 ERA. He finished the 2009 campaign second in the Carolina League in ERA and second in strikeouts with 131. In 2010, the 2006 third round pick had an overall record of 10-7 with Double-A Bowie and Triple-A Norfolk. His ERA of 2.70 was tops among Orioles minor leaguers who tossed 65 or more innings in 2010 while his ten wins were tied for the second-most in the Baltimore organization.
