
Two Gladiators Receive All-Arena Recognition

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators are pleased to announce that OL ADAM TADISCH and LB TIM CHEATWOOD have each earned All-AFL honors for the 2011 season. Tadisch was named first-team All-Arena for the second consecutive year, while Cheatwood was named second-team All-Arena.
Tadisch (6-8, 340, North Dakota State) started in 13 regular season games and the opening-round playoff contest for the Gladiators this season. He anchored the offensive line at the tight end position, allowing rookie quarterback Kurt Rocco to be in the top ten in passer efficiency, total offensive yards and total offensive touchdowns. Tadisch also helped block for the eighth-ranked rushing attack in the league and was part of a unit that was in the top ten in sacks allowed.
Cheatwood (6-4, 270, Ohio State) did not miss a start this season, beginning all 16 regular games and the playoff game at the mack linebacker position. He filled nearly every column of the stat sheet with 34.0 total tackles, 12.5 sacks, 13.0 tackles-for-loss, one interception, four fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles and a the franchise's first-ever safety recorded. Cheatwood tied for the league lead in sacks, was third in tackles-for-loss and recovered the third-most fumbles in the AFL this season.
"There are so many guys who made a major impact for us this past season," said Gladiators Head Coach Steve Thonn. "We are proud that Adam and Tim were recognized for their outstanding efforts this year because they were such huge factors in our success."
