October 17, 2017 - Arena Football League (AFL) - Cleveland Gladiators News Release

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators announced today that senior running back Ronald Lee of Euclid High School has been named the Week 8 High School Impact Player of the Week for his standout performance in the Panthers' 78-54 win over Brunswick on Friday night.

Lee rushed for 371 yards and five touchdowns in the game while adding a 30-yard touchdown reception as well in the shootout victory for Euclid. With the win, the Panthers improve to 7-1 on the season as they look to inch closer to locking up a playoff spot in the OHSAA Playoffs.

"Ronald was amazing in his performance against Brunswick last week," said Euclid Head Coach Jeff Rotsky. "Rushing for 371 yards, collecting 62 receiving yards, and totaling six touchdowns was one of the greatest single-game performances I have seen in my career. His vision and speed make him, in my opinion, the best back in Ohio and hopefully a candidate for Mr. Football."

As the Gladiators' High School Impact Player of the Week for Week 8 of the 2017 season, Lee will receive a Xenith High School Impact Player of the Week helmet that recognizes his accomplishment, an in-game appearance at a 2018 Cleveland Gladiators home game, a visit at practice by Gladiators Offensive Line Coach Chad Schofield, and a $500 grant towards the Euclid football program.
