
AVON QB RYAN MALOY NAMED HIGH SCHOOL IMPACT PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators announced today that junior quarterback Ryan Maloy of Avon High School has been named the Week 10 High School Impact Player of the Week for his standout performance in the Eagles' 63-35 win over Berea-Midpark on Friday night.
Maloy helped cap off a perfect regular season for the Eagles by passing for 278 yards and totaling six touchdowns (three passing/three rushing) as Avon cruised past Berea-Midpark, 63-35.
"Ryan was terrific in helping his team finish the regular season undefeated," said Gladiators Offensive Line Coach Chad Schofield. "Maloy showed great leadership and poise and was effective not only through the air but also on the ground. We wish Ryan and the rest of his teammates the best of luck in the playoffs!"
As the Gladiators' High School Impact Player of the Week for Week 10 of the 2017 season, Maloy will receive a Xenith High School Impact Player of the Week helmet that recognizes his accomplishment, an in-game appearance at a 2018 Cleveland Gladiators home game, a visit at practice by coach Schofield, and a $500 grant towards the Avon football program.
