Two Eskimos Named Players of the Week

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have two Gibson's Finest CFL Players of the Week, in the victory against the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium.
Linebacker JC Sherritt was named Defensive Player of the Week for his 11 defensive tackles (two solo), one tackle for loss of two yards, and one forced fumble.
Accumulating 13 of the Eskimos' 19 points on Saturday, kicker Grant Shaw earned Special Teams Player of the Week. Shaw was good on all four of his field goal attempts (44 longest) and one convert. He handled all of the kickoff duties, kicking off six times for 428 yards (71.3 avg, 76 longest).
The Eskimos take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday, July 8. Kickoff is at 5:00 pm.
