Twisters make roster change, coach says more may come

Arkansas Diamonds News Release

In an effort to snap the Arkansas Twisters out of their current three game losing streak, Coach Gary Anderson has cut Kicker Ton Ton Lazaydio (La-za-`Dio) and the Twisters were assigned K, Marc Gill by the af2 league office.

The 5'10, 185 lb. kicker from North Little Rock is nicknamed Gilligan. His only professional experience came as kicker for the Central Arkansas Rhinos. Gill kicked a 43 yard field goal in limited action, 80% of his kickoffs were touchbacks, and his longest punt was 70 yards.

Coach Anderson says he may not be done making changes to the rosters. "We all have to stop being practice players and start playing on Saturdays. If we played on Saturdays the way we play on the practice field, we'd be undefeated."

Coach Anderson will address the changes at Wednesday's press conference at Tony Roma's in West Little Rock.
