Tuupo Returns to Stockton, B2 Networks To Air Internet Games

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning of the arenafootball2 league have announced FB/LB Tupo Tuupo has been assigned to the Lightning by the af2 League Office, and DL Michael Ng has been placed on the "left squad" list.

A 6-foot-3, 260-pound product of Washington State University, the multi-dimensional Tuupo made his af2 debut with the Lightning in 2006, garnering nine rushes for 22 yards and two rushing touchdowns and six receptions for 39 yards and on the offensive end. Defensively, Tuupo ranked eighth on the Lightning with 25.5 tackles, recorded one sack and led the Lightning with four quarterback hurries.

Tuupo's garnered preseason experience in the National Football League with the San Diego Chargers in 2002 and spent his 2005 indoor football campaign with the Everett Hawks after being selected by the Las Vegas Gladiators in the Arena Football League expansion draft.

The Menlo-Atherton, Calif. product spent four years in the football program at Washington State University (NCAA), (1998-01), garnering All Pac-10 team and All-Academic Team honors. Tuupo recorded a career-high 22 tackles (10 solo) in his 2001 senior campaign and helped guide the Cougars to a 2001 Sun Bowl Championship over Purdue.


The Stockton Lightning also announced all home games and select road games will air this season on B2 Networks, entering their first season in a comprehensive internet video broadcast partnership agreement with the booming internet broadcast home to arenafootball2, the American Hockey League, ECHL, and USHL.

All Lightning home games and select road games can be viewed online by going to the Lightning website,, with all home games and select road games available in simulcast viewing for a $6 "pay-per-view" rate. Viewers looking to enjoy the games via B2 will only need a high-speed internet connection and Windows Media Player 9 or higher.
