Brockton Rox News Release
Shane Mosiello was slated to pitch for the Rox, but an minor injury pulled him from the game during first inning warm-ups. Oklahoma State's Bryce Verplank unexpectedly took over for Brockton, going 4 strong innings, allowing just one run.
The key to Brockton's four game win streak has been a Red Sox-esque offensive onslaught. During the streak the Rox have scored 37 runs in 4 games, and the lineup didn't disappoint Thursday night. 8 of the 9 Rox in the staring lineup reached base.
The Rox struck early, taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning and nearly batting through the lineup. The Rox bats maintained a steady pace the rest of the game, scoring one run in the third, sixth, and seventh inning.
Five different Rox players scored, while Turner and Perry struck at opportune times, combining for 4 RBI's.
The Rox play once again tomorrow night in game two of a four game home stand. First pitch is at 7:05 at Campenelli Stadium. Come enjoy your Brockton Rox in action and enjoy the stellar fireworks after the game!
