January 11, 2014 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL)
Ontario Fury News Release

The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, lost a hard-fought, see-saw battle Friday night, falling to the Turlock Express 6-5 in overtime at Turlock Indoor Soccer.

After a scoreless first quarter, Ontario (3-7) jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Tiguinho and player-coach Bernie Lilavois scored 43 seconds apart. But Turlock (3-7) answered back with a pair of goals from Jesse Horta and Martyn Arista. But Joey Pulido scored his first goal of the season, giving the Fury the lead back just 18 seconds after Arista's goal, and a 3-2 half time lead.

Turlock took the lead in the third quarter, but was not able to pull away, as the Fury kept it close. Majell Aterado's shot from outside the offensive zone tied it in the third, but the Express took the lead again in the fourth. Tiguinho scored his second of the game at the 7:32 mark of the fourth quarter to tie the game, before going to overtime.

In the extra session, Arista completed a hat trick, splitting the defense from midfield and lifting a shot under the crossbar to win the game for the Express.

The Fury will complete their Northern California road trip Saturday with a trip to Livermore, Calif., to take on Bay Area Rosal in a game scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the America One Sports Network, and there will be a watch party at Dave and Buster's Ontario Mills.

Ontario will return to Citizens Business Bank Arena on Sunday, Jan. 19, with a 4 p.m. game against the San Diego Sockers. It is Scout Night, as Boys and Girl Scouts are encouraged to bring items to support American military members overseas that will be donated to the USO. Scouts in uniform who donate items will be given a community service certificate and a coupon for $2 off a ticket to one of the remaining home games. Scouts will also have the chance to walk on the field before the game and be part of an exclusive autograph session after the game.
