New Coach's Show Location: The Tulsa Oilers Coach's Show returns on Monday, January 13 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Fox and Hound (71st and Garnett). Fox and Hound will be the location for the Coach's Show for the remainder of the season. Each week Oilers broadcaster Rob Loeber is joined by Head Coach Bruce Ramsay and two player guests to discuss the very latest games, trends, and happenings within the Oilers organization. Come join us at Fox and Hound next Monday night!

Week In Review: The Oilers went 0-3-0 last week in three road games and managed to score just four goals in those three contests. On New Year's Eve in Missouri, the Oilers carried a 1-0 lead into the third period. The advantage was quickly erased by three unanswered goals from the Mavericks who went on to claim a 4-2 victory. Tulsa is now 0-4-0 this season against Missouri and has lost on New Year's Eve in four straight seasons. The Oilers continued their road trip in Aspen, Colorado with a pair of games on Friday and Saturday against the Denver Cutthroats. Tulsa outshot Denver 38-23 in the opening game of the series but the Cutthroats scored three power play goals to earn a 4-2 win. In the series finale, the Oilers fired 41 shots at Denver goalie Kent Patterson but couldn't find the back of the net. The Cutthroats struck twice on the power play and finished a series sweep of the Oilers with a 2-0 triumph.

Rough Patch: The Oilers have lost five straight games and eight of their last ten. The recent skid has dropped Tulsa into sixth place in the CHL standings. With an overall record of 16-17-2, the Oilers have slipped below .500 for the first time since mid-November. Tulsa has lost six straight road games and will try to snap the slide in Rapid City on Tuesday night.

Facing The Rush: The Oilers and Rush will clash on Tuesday in Rapid City for the first of five meetings this season between the two clubs. The Rush is the only team the Oilers have yet to face this season. In 12 trips to the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, the Oilers have a 2-8-2 all-time record. Rapid City, the top-ranked team in the CHL, is coming off back-to-back losses in Allen and has dropped four of its last six games

Where Have The Goals Gone?: In the last five games, all regulation losses, the Oilers offense has scored only ten goals. Tulsa has managed two goals or fewer in seven of its last ten contests and posted a record of 2-8-0 in that span. The Oilers have been shutout in seven of their last 12 periods.

Special Teams Woes: In two games against Denver last weekend, the Oilers gave up five power play goals and the Cutthroats finished the series with a 5-for-9 mark on the man-advantage. Tulsa has surrendered at least one power play goal in five consecutive games. Meanwhile, the Oilers power play unit has failed to capitalize in six of the last seven games and has just two goals in its last 30 opportunities. Tulsa's power play and penalty kill each rank ninth out of ten teams in the CHL.

Constant Presence Between The Pipes: Shane Madolora has started fifteen straight games in net for the Oilers. The second-year pro leads all CHL goaltenders with 30 appearances. Madolora is also number one in the league in minutes (1612) and total saves (756).

Piling Up Points: Todd Robinson's seven-game point streak was snapped in the loss to Denver on Saturday, but the veteran center still ranks second in the CHL with 47 points. Robinson has dished out 36 assists and is tied for the league lead in that category with Cutthroats' center Troy Schwab. Tulsa forward Ben Gordon is seventh in the CHL with 41 points (17 goals, 24 assists) and is second in the league with 136 shots on goal. Oilers center Kyle Bochek is tied for tenth in the scoring race with 34 points (10 goals, 24 assists) and continues to lead the CHL with 121 penalty minutes.

Count on "Bobo": With a goal in Friday's game against Denver, Oilers winger Michel Beausoleil reached the 30-point mark for the tenth consecutive season. A 13-year pro, Beausoleil is on pace to eclipse last season's total of 40 points and has a chance to surpass his best season as an Oiler when he put up 61 points during the 2008-09 campaign.

Heading For Home: The Oilers wrap up a season-long five-game road swing on Tuesday in Rapid City and will begin a season-long six-game home stand on Friday night against Brampton. Through the end of the regular season, the Oilers will not have a single road trip longer than two games.

Roster Notes: Defenseman Jarred Mohr is on the 7-day IR and did not play last weekend against Denver.
