Former Big Brother Winner to Appear at Reality TV Night

Wichita, KS (January 6th) - The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League, powered by Toyota, is excited to announce that Rachel Reilly, a former winner of the hit TV show, Big Brother, will be a part of the festivities for Reality TV Night. The Thunder, along with KWCH 12, is bringing in a casting call for a future season of the Amazing Race to INTRUST Bank Arena during the Thunder's game on Friday, January 17th against the Quad City Mallards. The team has announced that Mona Egender and Beth Bandimere, who are better known as the "Roller Derby Moms" during the show's 22nd season and finished in third place will also be a part of the evening as well.

Reilly appeared in two seasons of Big Brother, winning the 13th Season in 2011. She also participated in the 20th Season of The Amazing Race in 2012, where she ended up finishing in third place out of 11 teams. Her sister, Elissa Slater, will also be with her in attendance at the game to sign autographs and meet the fans that night. She was a part of Season 15 of Big Brother in 2013 and was voted as an MVP for three-straight weeks while on the show.

The Roller Derby Moms, Mona and Beth, took third on this past season of the Amazing Race. The Arvada, Colorado natives will be in attendance during the game to meet and greet all the contestants. Also in attendance will be former Big Brother contestant Jessica Hughbanks, who lives in the Wichita area.

Pairings will have roughly one minute to explain why they will be great for the show. Staff from KWCH 12 will ask them anything from why they should be on the Amazing Race to how they think being on the show will help or improve their relationship. Members from the KWCH 12 Eyewitness News Morning Team will be in attendance to greet the fans.

The Amazing Race pits 11 teams, each comprised of two members, against each other on a trek around the world for approximately 25 days. During the last season, contestants traveled to 10 countries on five continents and more than 30,000 miles. At every destination, each team must compete in a series of challenges, some mental and some physical, and only when the tasks are completed will they learn of their next location. Teams who are the farthest behind gradually are eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.

The Thunder heads to Quad City for the first and only time this season next Friday to take on the Mallards at 7:05. Wichita returns to INTRUST Bank Arena on January 17th against Quad City for Reality TV Night. Think you have what it takes to win $1 Million Dollars?
