Tulsa Cruises To 107-91 Road Win At New Mexico

RIO RANCHO, NM - Forward Latavious Williams posted 17 points, 13 rebounds and four steals to collect his 11th double-double of the season, Elijah Millsap poured in 25 points and Byron Mullens added five points as the Tulsa 66ers (30-14) cruised to a 107-91 road win at New Mexico (16-27) Friday night inside the Santa Ana Star Center.

Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa was Jerome Dyson with 17, Larry Owens with 16 and Robert Vaden with 14.

Offensively, the 66ers shot 40-71 (.563) from the floor against the Thunderbirds. As a team, Tulsa recorded 20 assists, led by Vaden with four dishes.

Tulsa, who improved to 2-0 against New Mexico this season, forced 20 turnovers and collected nine steals on the defensive end.

Leading the Thunderbirds was Dar Tucker with 22 points and Shane Edwards with a team-high eight rebounds.

The 66ers and Thunderbirds will square off again tomorrow night, March 19, to complete the back-to-back set at 8:30 p.m. CT in Rio Rancho. The contest will mark Tulsa's final regular season road game of the season.
