
Tulsa 66ers & NBA D-League All-Star Chris Richard to Miss Remainder of Season

Tulsa, Okla., February 3, 2009 - The Tulsa 66ers announced today that NBA Development League All-Star forward Chris Richard will miss the remainder of the season after suffering an acute fracture in his back. Richard is expected to make a full recovery by mid-summer.
"We are disappointed to lose Chris for the remainder of the season," 66ers Head Coach Paul Woolpert said. "He is a valuable part of our organization and an All-Star caliber player in this league."
Richard appeared in 20 games this season for the 66ers, averaging 11.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists, while shooting 53.1 percent (103-194) from the field. Richard will be replaced in the 2009 NBA D-League All-Star Game by an alternate selection, as determined by the League.
