Tullo Dominates 'Wings in Victory

HARLINGEN, Texas - The Edinburg Roadrunners got eight scoreless innings from Aaron Tullo as they defeated the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings 4-0 Tuesday night at Harlingen Field.
Tullo (5-4) struck out nine batters while scattering three hits in his eight innings of work.
The Roadrunners jumped out to the early lead. After back-to-back singles by Felix Molina and Carlos Hereaud, Joe Weik followed with an RBI single that scored Molina for the 1-0 lead.
Tullo made that one run stand up but his offense got him three more runs in the top of the ninth. Vincent Blue led the inning off with a triple and then came around to score on an RBI triple by Hereaud. A wild pitch then allowed Hereaud to score from third. Later in the inning, Stantrel Smith drove in Derek Perren with an RBI single that extended Edinburg's lead 4-0.
Paul Koss closed out the ball game with a scoreless bottom of the ninth giving the Roadrunners the 4-0 victory.
Clint Bowker (1-3) took the tough loss after allowing one run in seven and a third innings pitched
The Roadrunners and WhiteWings will shift their series to Edinburg as they start the first of three at Edinburg Baseball Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
