Tucson Re-Signs Patrick Porter and Kordell Brewster

TUCSON - The Tucson Sugar Skulls have been busy over the last week signing several players, including the re-signing of DB Patrick Porter and Offensive Lineman Kordell Brewster.

CB Patrick Porter (5'11, 183, DB, Jacksonville State) rejoins the Sugar Skulls for his second season with the team. Last season Porter played in three games recording twelve tackles.

Porter initially played for Washington State before transferring to Jacksonville State. In his two seasons with the Gamecocks, Porter had thirty-two tackles and four pass breakups, including six tackles against LSU on September 10, 2016. The most he's had in one game since he recorded six against Arizona on October 25, 2014, with WSU.

Porter went to Paul W. Bryant High School where he was selected as part of the Super All-State Preseason Second Team by AlabamaVarsity.com. In his senior campaign, Porter made 68 tackles, four interceptions, and broke up 13 passes. He also had nine tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles.

Kordell Brewster (6'2 290, OL, University of Louisiana at Lafayette) is set to enter his second season with the Sugar Skulls. Last year the Offensive Lineman played in six games for the Sugar Skulls. Brewster began his collegiate career with two years as a letter winner for Chaffey College, then transferred to Louisiana Lafayette and played mostly at Center where he saw action in 12 games over two years.

Kordell Brewster played at San Gorgonio High School where he was an All-League selection, first-team All-Sun News Team pick, and played in the Cali Classic All-Star Game.
